Today's task

On Thursday we began working on the "using cinematic techniques" piece, which is being graded as a PROJECT. It is due at the end of the period. Email the word document (as an attachment) to chris.frances.voyages@gmail.com with "cinematic techniques" as the subject line.

Good morning!!

OK, we're pretending that yesterday's disaster didn't happen. Go to the attachments and download the angles worksheet.

After Chris has talked through it with you, your task is to create a similar document. You must A. find an example of each cinematic technique, B., identify what technique is being used, and C. what that technique adds to the story. You may only use "Red Cape Man" for this task.

This is due Thursday at the end of the period, and is being graded as a PROJECT. You will be graded on use of detail, presentation of work, and accuracy.

Today, we're going to begin looking at PANELS.

The panels are boundaries--the contents of a panel tell a part of the story. There may be an actual panel, or the panel may be implied. That means that the scene tells part of the story, but there is no physical line showing the border.

Plot panel: Develop the plot, or the main events of a story.

Character panel: These panels develop individual or multiple characters
